Changeant is an initiative of Els de Baan, specialist in costume, fashion and textiles. In the Netherlands she can be contacted to:
– give lectures on costume, fashion and textiles
– judge, comment and appraise the value of collections or pieces of textile
– do research and write about fashion, costumes and textiles for different purposes
– act as a guide for city walks in textile-city Leiden

“For more than 30 years I’ve been a lecturer in the history of art, fashion and textiles affiliated with two major Dutch art academies; the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and (till februray 2017 also at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
From 2002 until now I work as freelance fashion journalist for the renowned Dutch daily newspaper ‘Trouw’.
Beside these writings I regularly publish articles and books.”
